I am interested in understanding the molecular mechanism underlying activation of heat shock response pathway by the neurotransmitter serotonin (5-HT) in C. elegans and mammalian cells.
Graduate Student - Ph.D. in BiologyB.S. (Cell and Molecular Biology); Binghamton University
Felicia is now a lab alumni. She graduated with her Ph.D. from The University of Iowa in 2018 and has gone on to be a post-doctoral fellow at the University of California San Francisco!
Post-doctoral FellowPh.D.; The University of Iowa
I am interested in studying the role of serotonin in the regulation of epigenetic changes in Caenorhabditis elegans. I am developing and optimizing methods to study changes in chromatin structure, gene expression and transcriptional regulation in Caenorhabditis elegans under different stress conditions.
Post-doctoral FellowPh.D.; The University of IowaEmail:
I am interested in understanding the effects of mitochondrial dysfunction on neuronal activity. Ultimately, I am pursuing a career integrating teaching and research.
